The 2026 Norton Atlas marks a pivotal moment for the iconic British brand under the stewardship of TVS Motor Company. Unveiled at EICMA 2025 for the 2026 model year, this new generation Atlas moves away from the high-strung 650cc prototypes of the past, opting for a more refined and efficient 585cc parallel-twin engine. Featuring a 270-degree crank layout, the engine delivers a V-twin-like character and sound, producing approximately 70 hp. Norton describes the bike as a 'British Army Knife,' emphasizing its versatility across various riding conditions.
The chassis consists of a steel trellis frame paired with KYB inverted forks and a rear monoshock. Braking is handled by ByBre (Brembo's specialized brand), striking a balance between cost and performance. On the technology front, the 2026 Atlas is highly advanced, featuring a massive 8-inch TFT touchscreen display, 6-axis IMU-supported cornering ABS, traction control, and cruise control. Comfort features such as heated grips and a heated seat come as standard equipment. The model is offered in two trims: the standard Atlas, which is more off-road capable with its 19-inch front spoked wheel, and the Atlas GT, which is strictly road-biased with 17-inch wheels at both ends.
